Come See My Favorite Room at Savvy Southern Style!

If someone asked you what your favorite room is, what would you say?

The lovely Kim, of Savvy Southern Style asked me that question, and I'll be sharing my answer over at her place today.  Need I tell you how excited I am? Well, yes, I do need to tell you! I am cart-wheeling, walking-on-air, thrilled-to-pieces, over-the-moon beyond excited!

When I first ventured into this blogging world, Kim's blog was one of the very first I subscribed to. Her impeccable sense of style drew me right in, from the way she arranged her pillows, to her collection of vintage bottles, to the ongoing re-arrangement of her furniture.

So when she asked me to participate in her My Favorite Room series, I jumped at the chance.

Are you ready for the tour? It starts right here.

  3. I saw it and I had to laugh. When you first said it was the family room, MY 1st thought was I'll bet she had to shoo some teens out of their ( son and friends ) before her photo shoot and in the next line you were confirming something to that affect :)

It's a lovely room though with all of those recipes that you are posting I have no doubt that your son's favorite room has to be the kitchen! :)

    1. Thanks, Deb! Yup, you should have seen his face when he walked in! And, yes, he is the one person in the family who can eat all of my treats without having to worry !

    1. Thank you, Catherine! The "before" wasn't too bad -- just needed some updating!

  10. I'm not surprised that I like your room so much. I have an idea that it is truly an expression of you and the way you live (even if it is REALLY tidy!) - and of what I know of you from your writing. This room is just so very welcoming and (even with a very active son, by the sound of it) a very elegant space. Beautiful.

    1. Thank you -- I really enjoyed putting the room together, to make it a really comfy LIVING space. And although it does have its elegant touches, somehow, when my son is sprawled on the couch, with sweatshirts, socks, guitar, laptop, and other STUFF all over the place, it loses some of that elegance, but I actually prefer that "lived in" look!
