Weathering The Storms

Weathering The Storms --- Ms. Toody Goo Shoes

Are you having an unusually rough winter where you live?

We are having one whopper of a winter here in the NY/NJ area.

I've lost count, but I think we've had five snowstorms in the last two weeks.

As much as I don't care to see another snowflake until next winter, and never want to hear the song "Let It Snow" again, I have to admit that Mother Nature has left some impressive scenery in her wake.

Here are a few snaps around my house from the last couple of snowstorms.

  1. It is beautiful! However, I have been praying for all the people who are without power. I can't imagine what they are going through.

    1. I agree, Jane. It's been so rough for so many people this winter. Weather can be beautiful and dangerous at the same time.

    1. Thanks Merisi. I was so bummed out about the second big snowfall in two days, but when I went outside in the morning, and the sun came out, it was hard not to be struck by the beauty of it all.

    1. Thanks, Rosella, it is pretty, but this has been a LOT of snow for us! We usually don't get this much, especially in such a concentrated amount of time. I'm so tired of it, but it is beautiful.

    1. I know you get tons more snow than we do, Diana. I guess we are not used to snowstorm on top of snowstorm. And the temperatures have been frigid. I'm definitely in need of a little break :)

  15. It's been quite a few years since we've seen a winter like this. The snow and cold have been a little too plentiful in my opinion. Hoping spring finds us all soon!

  16. Dear Amy, It certainly does look pretty in your area, a lot prettier than here!
Stay safe, warm and cozy. I here that spring is in the air!

    1. 7 snow days???? Wow...We've only had 4. We had a "virtual" school day last week. Crazy! I actually was away for a few days in Florida. It was a nice little break from winter.

  19. I could take these same pictures in my yard. The kids had 6 days off this last week. Crazy! They went skiing today.

  20. Oh Lordy! It is certainly more beautiful in the photos that it looks in person...but I'm with you no more snow! It's drained all the energy I have...the only thing left about this winter I'm enjoying are the Olympics. Oh how I cannot wait for Spring! Stay warm Ms. Toody! :)
