Five Things That Make Me Happy

Do you have objects in your house that always make you happy whenever you catch a glimpse of them?

Here are a few of my favorite things...

The velvet animal print ottoman in the den…

The copper faucet on the claw foot tub in the master bathroom…

The detail on the secretary desk in the den…

The lamp in my living room…

The venetian glass perfume bottle in the master bath that I got in Venice…
I also happen to love the hand mirror, which was a birthday gift from a friend, and the glass tray, which was a holiday gift from a friend. A trio of happiness.

What are a few of your favorite things?

Till next time…

  1. You have some beautiful things. Some of my most favorite things are items that I picked up at estate sales, or thrift stores. They aren't worth much but they are found treasures in my opinion.

    1. Thanks! I agree, some of the most treasured things I own have the least monetary value!

    2. I actually have a similar beautiful Venecian glass perfume bottle on my dressing table that I got for my 50th birthday from my best friend Amy and I love it too!

    3. Yes, you do! I started to write about that in my post, but it got too long-winded…just like us when we talk ;)

  4. Amy, I loved seeing and hearing all about your favourite things that make you happy when you look at them! They are all very lovely, some for their sentimental value, others for their aesthetic appeal or detail, (that dramatic secretary den is exquisite!). I love the open shelving in my kitchen, the stone wall in the stairwell, and the black, wrought iron gate and fence that borders our house, to name a few. I just realized they're all architectural features!

Thanks for sharing, really enjoyed this post!

  5. I agree with Poppy Amy (and yes, I'm trolling your site tonight). I think the secretary and the Venetian glass are my favs. Something about their shape speaks to me.

I know this post is old so I wasn't sure if comments were still turned on. I turned them off after 90 days and it cut down on my spam tremendously!
