APRIL 2020 PHOTO DIARY: LIFE IN QUARANTINE

APRIL 2020 PHOTO DIARY: LIFE IN QUARANTINE | Ms. Toody Goo Shoes

I'M MISSING:
Seeing family and friends in person.
Anniversary and birthday celebrations.
Browsing the shops.
A busy calendar.
Our Florida condo.
Campus life (for Junior Goo Shoes).
Hair color and cuts.
Dining out.
Hugs.
Making travel plans.
Doing errands.
Pedicures.
Doctors appointments.

And even food shopping.

I'M LOVING:
More family time.
Taking pictures.
Watching the birds.
Gardening.
Doing puzzles.
Blogging more.
Breathing cleaner air.
Sleeping later.
Baking.
Zooming and FaceTiming.
Watching Mother Nature do her spring thing.

It's just us, ourselves, and the backyard.

In many ways, life is very different.........

Junior Goo Shoes has been home from college since spring break, and taking his classes online.

We made the best of our 26th anniversary in quarantine by turning the dining room into a "restaurant."

The birds, who are social distancers by nature, stop by for visits.

Here's hoping that May brings good news,
and we start to return to some sense of normal.

Be well, stay safe!

Until next time.......

  3. Love love love all of this Amy. Love that you are making the best out of the craziness. You live in the hot zone too. So happy you are having fun and finding good things to do. Let's hope soon they will have medications that help keep people with this virus alive and out of the hospital and a vaccine soon. Then maybe we can all safely resume our lives and have security about being around others. I miss my family so much too. Have a great rest of the week.
    Hugs,
    Kris

  5. I miss and love all the same things as you do. I meant to take a pic of my grocery delivery and I was just so glad to see it, I forgot! Love how you turned your dinner into dining in a "restaurant!" Many happy returns!

  6. I'm with you, though I don't have half of your missings on my list...cause we don't do them to begin with. I do miss my kids, and projects and garden is number one for soothing the restless soul. When, we get a weather break again, I will just walk and take photos...thanks for yours, they are always special!

  7. What a weird world we live in these days! I wouldn't mind being home more, I would love it actually, if things were normal and also if spring would everrrrrrrrrrrrr come.

  8. In these rather strange times, nature does soothe the soul.

  9. Amy, could you ever have imagined that your monthly photo journal would be so different now? Reflecting such a different life? Being home has brought so many blessings to people but I worry about young men and women in college like your son and what they will face and about my own two little granddaughters, school interrupted except for homeschooling and online teaching. I'm hoping some of this new generation growing up will be the ones to invent or discover answers to help the problems we face now.

A belated happy anniversary to you both! This may be the one you remember more fondly than any of them. I can't believe I wrote that; is there any possible way that could be true?

  10. I like how you put this all together....it is exactly what most of us are living! I am afraid it is going to be our life for a long time to come. We have to make the most of it. I LOVE your Quarantine Gardens Ristorante....Happy Anniversary! I may have to go there for our anniversary in July :-)

  12. Your nature pics are lovely.

I love playing in my garden all day and am glad we can walk on the beach.

    I desperately NEED a pedicure.

And I cannot wait to see our little boys - 2 and 11 months.
