TODAY IN NEW YORK CITY 4.18.16

STROLLING DOWN "THE AVENUE"...FIFTH AVENUE

Today was a gorgeous day to be in New York City.
Never mind that I started out the day in the doctor's office
having my cholesterol re-checked;
and followed that with a visit to the periodontist
to see how my gum surgery was healing.
My third and final destination was much more pleasant --
lunch with a friend.
As it was a glorious, summer-like day,
I strolled down Fifth Avenue from one appointment to the next.

  1. *sigh*
    It has been years since I walked through the doors of Saks Fifth Avenue. What a treat that used to be. There was Lord and Taylor's too and Bergdorf Goodman. So much choice!
    I'm glad to read that you're healing nicely!

  2. I offer a sigh as well as it was way too long ago that we visited New York! Beautiful tour you gave us today. Looks like the sun was shining all around the world on Monday! And thanks for stopping by to see what these part-time ex pats have been up to in Greece! Hugs.

  8. If I ever have the pleasure to visit NYC, I will give you a call! I know you know it well. I would be SO lost there. It looks so congested, but yet so pretty. They really do have so much to do and see there. It's nice that you can visit all of that between appts.

  17. Another beautiful day in NYC. I would never have guessed Van Gogh's ear for that sculpture (how random). I hope we have such nice weather when we visit in August (ugh, I know already, it's going to be hot and humid). #wkendtravelinspiration
