The lovely Kim, of Savvy Southern Style asked me that question, and I'll be sharing my answer over at her place today. Need I tell you how excited I am? Well, yes, I do need to tell you! I am cart-wheeling, walking-on-air, thrilled-to-pieces, over-the-moon beyond excited!
When I first ventured into this blogging world, Kim's blog was one of the very first I subscribed to. Her impeccable sense of style drew me right in, from the way she arranged her pillows, to her collection of vintage bottles, to the ongoing re-arrangement of her furniture.
So when she asked me to participate in her My Favorite Room series, I jumped at the chance.
Are you ready for the tour? It starts right here.
Wow, that is exciting!! Congrats:-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anita! I was so happy to be asked!
DeleteAwe, you are too sweet and you also crack me up!
ReplyDeleteNow it's my turn to say "awe..." Thanks, Kim!
DeleteWhat a start! Looks great down to each detail.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Phyllis!

ReplyDeleteHi Yvonne, thank you so much! it's nice to meet you too!
DeleteHow fun and pretty room :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
Thanks, Vicki! I appreciate it!
DeleteI saw it and I had to laugh. When you first said it was the family room, MY 1st thought was I'll bet she had to shoo some teens out of their ( son and friends ) before her photo shoot and in the next line you were confirming something to that affect :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely room though with all of those recipes that you are posting I have no doubt that your son's favorite room has to be the kitchen! :)
Thanks, Deb! Yup, you should have seen his face when he walked in! And, yes, he is the one person in the family who can eat all of my treats without having to worry !
DeleteCongrats! You have a real talent for home decorating!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Kathy! I try...

ReplyDeleteYour son sounds like quite the hoot, very much like mine! I have to agree with you, your familyroom is my fave as well. Love everything about it, very cozy.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, he is a hoot! Keeps me laughing! Thanks for the kind comments.
DeleteCongratulations!! What a wonderful thing.

Thanks so much, Luciane!
DeleteDear Amy, Your family room is beautiful; even the before picture is beautiful. You have a wonderful sense of style. Blessings dear. Catherine xo
ReplyDeleteThank you, Catherine! The "before" wasn't too bad -- just needed some updating!
DeleteI'm not surprised that I like your room so much. I have an idea that it is truly an expression of you and the way you live (even if it is REALLY tidy!) - and of what I know of you from your writing. This room is just so very welcoming and (even with a very active son, by the sound of it) a very elegant space. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you -- I really enjoyed putting the room together, to make it a really comfy LIVING space. And although it does have its elegant touches, somehow, when my son is sprawled on the couch, with sweatshirts, socks, guitar, laptop, and other STUFF all over the place, it loses some of that elegance, but I actually prefer that "lived in" look!
DeleteCongratulations! I'm off to check your favourite room!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping over at SSS, Magali!
