Sometimes it doesn't take many words to sum up a month:
Nesting
Resting
Eating
Greeting
Raking
Baking
Cleaning
Teening
Looking
Cooking
Pranking
Thanking
And that's the way it was in November.
Colorful leaves still cling to the trees........
Eventually succumbing, with each little breeze.
Leaves turn a burnt shade of umber........
As bushes prepare for their winter slumber.
Oddly, tomatoes were still growing in November........
Uh-oh, I have to put this bench away -- I better remember.
In the backyard, there are those who are a-twitter......
And this little guy is a frequent fence sitter.......
But inside is our favorite critter.
A crack of light at the end of the hall, means our college boy is home! Woohoo!
I'll make him some turkey soup, that's what I'll do.
We see New York City from across the East River.......
and attend a Broadway show that really does deliver.
In Bryant Park, jugglers put on a show.........
While at night, New York City is all aglow.
Lincoln Center |
Mr. Goo Shoes and I play our share of pranks........
And on Thanksgiving Day, pause to give thanks.
Mother Nature dazzles us with autumnal skies..........
And when break is over, there are back-to-college goodbyes.
A belated double-birthday celebration for me and my best friend........
Is how November comes to an end!
Till next time........

Hi Amy, Happy Belated Birthday. It looks like November was a nice month for you. It's always fun to see a broadway show. Hope you have a nice December too.

A belated Happy Birthday, Amy!
ReplyDeleteThis was a lovely post - interesting and restful and colourful. I enjoyed it!
You really take gorgeous photos, Amy. The trees, brilliant leaves, and carpets of color are amazing! This is a great way to capture time.
ReplyDeleteI feel how special it is to have your son home, I am that way whenever Abby comes down from the Northside. Crazy-she's forty-five minutes away, but only some to the Southside when she has something going on. Tom goes to stay with his dad (blocks away!), and she stays here. I just love knowing she's in her old room.
I like your holiday buffet. I have a round table, too, and I never thought to do my buffet there. Food for thought (Ha). I'm hosting a family gathering on the 23rd, and that's what it making me crazy and trying to get everything done sooner than later.
Your pics of New York are beautiful. Have you been to Chicago? if so, where did you stay?
Finally, Happy Belated Birthday!!
