January was.........
Snow, show, pho, glow, Balero, blow and mo'.

"Bomb Cyclone" brings gusty winds to NJ.
Snow:
Just enough to be pretty.

And red, too, for some winter cheer.

Digging out in NYC (fortunately not us!).
Blotto?
Not shnookered.....just a couple of mid-day Margaritas.

Salad and enchilladas at Dos Caminos in NYC.
Floe:
Hudson River on ice.

Pho:
Warms the innards on a cold winter's night.
Window:
As in, "out the......" -- A view of NYC from my sister's apartment.
Yo, bro!
Life imitates art.
Balero:
Specifically, Ravel's, at Lincoln Center. The ultimate crescendo.
Bravo!
Maestro conducts a concerto bellissimo.
Show:
Today. Hi, Hoda!
Show:
Tonight.
Metro:
Times Square. Photo taken with dilated eyes after opthamologist appointment.
Ditto:
Another pic of Times Square. I seem to have a good eye with dilated pupils.

The Olde Pink one in Savannah - perfecto!
Next stop.......Pompano!
Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love this Amy! You’ve managed to very effectively chronicle your January with some fantastic photos and a few well chosen words.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos and I love the play on words throughout. Creative thinking to go with some very creative photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great trip - thanks!
ReplyDeletePompano as in the fish? ;)
ReplyDeleteLove your sisters view! Hoboken?
Gorgeous shots. Your sister has some view. That bomb cyclone was something wasn't it? I can't wait for warmer temps. I do like when the Hudson is icy, pretty.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Very nice! Always a fun post to scroll through.
ReplyDeleteI always wonder when I see your photos of NYC whether other people like me who have never been kind of feel amazed that these are normal destinations for you. I mean, you go to an opthamologist in NYC, for Pete's sake! Where we dream of going for a vacation!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to email you a picture of where my husband parked the moving truck outside our son's apartment when he moved him home from NYC about 10 years ago. It always amazes me that he lived there for several years, glad he came back home but what an experience!
It looks like you were in the city a lot and visited some fun restaurants and shows. I loved looking at all of your nice photos of the city.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
