Did the month of April fly by in a nanosecond, or what?
I can't get my arms around the fact
that tomorrow, it will already be May 1.
There are months, and there are months.
April was SUCH a month.
After March being as dull as dull could be,
April was one of the best months I've had...
well, in months!
The weather warmed up,
Flowers started blooming,
I did a bit of traveling,
and Mr. Goo Shoes and I celebrated
our 20th wedding anniversary!!!
I hope that you are going to link up
with Claire (a little CLAIREification) and I
starting tonight at midnight for our
Show Us Your April Party!
Don't worry, if your not quite ready tomorrow,
the party will be open for about a week.
We'd love to see what you've been up to
this past month...
Every day has a story, after all.
What's yours?
Here's some snaps from my April.

Remember I told you I saw these wacky soaps? I decided I had to have this, and put it in Junior Goo Shoes' bathroom for an April Fools joke. Aha! I can make him laugh in the morning!

Linking With:
Wow what an April you have had! The sneaker window boxes, the cruise, the photo of the helicopter being propped up by the Statue of Liberty... so many things! My photos are still in the camera and waiting to be put together so will be linking up very soon. The world has certainly come to life this April! xx
ReplyDeleteIt was a great month, Chel! They're not all like that, trust me! In fact, January through March were pretty stinky. Glad you got your post together and linked up! Wishing you a happy May!
DeleteWhat a great April and Sadie is a doll. Thanks for s haring so many wonderful things with us.
ReplyDeleteCynthia
Thanks, Cynthia! A lot of good things happened in April - most months are not quite that exciting!
DeleteI love these posts. April was truly a busy month for you. I wanted to take a picture a day of my kitchen in May, but since the contractor called to say there'll be some delay... I don't know if it'll be such a good idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Magali! I have a lot of fun doing them! I try to pick what defines a day, and hope I get a decent picture of it! I think it would be great fun seeing your kitchen progress day by day...hope he's not too delayed!
DeleteHappy Belated Anniversary, Amy!!
ReplyDeleteI have been enjoying your photo diaries very much and this month I loved the Boston window pic, the beautiful blossoms, your fantastic sea shots, and the mystery surrounding your cake decorating concoction! Can't wait to see it! Junior Goo Shoes is a sweetie, himself, for baking up that cheesecake for you and your hubby! Thanks for sharing all the fun!
Poppy
Thank you, Poppy! The Boston window pic was definitely one of my favorites. I think May's diary will be a lot of flowers and birds!
DeleteDear Amy, I love your posts! You made me laugh out loud as I hear you talking in my head with each caption.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like April was a well packed month of good memories!
Happy Anniversary and a wonderful cheesecake to celebrate with made with love.
Blessings dear and I hope May is even better!! Catherine xo
Oh, Catherine, you made my day! April was about as good as it gets - I think the next couple of months will be far more ordinary!
DeleteLOL the balancing act and crushing the ship ...too much.
ReplyDeleteBecause I enjoyed your other two photo diary months, I did commit to trying this for April, for you and your party. I found it challenging to remember to have something every day and to try to fit in some photos not already used in various posts. And all the while I kept thinking " she leads a much more interesting life" WHICH YOU DO! This one was an absolute blast to view! :)
No, I don't think I lead a much more interesting life...I just had a good month, LOL! I think my May photo diary is going to be mostly food, flowers and birds...at least it's a lot more pleasant than day after day of snow photos! I'm so happy that you linked up your April! Happy May, Deb!
DeleteYou are one busy woman! Love the crushing the cruise ship! lol
ReplyDeleteThis was definitely an unusually busy month! Now back to the mundane, which is just fine, too!
DeleteWhat a fun and busy month. I love the sneaker flower pots. Happy May Day!
ReplyDeleteThe sneaker flower pots photo was definitely one of my favorites! It was a fun month...now back to normal!
DeleteI loved doing this for a month! It was fun! I hope this takes off and you will do it again sometime. It is fun reading others posts too.
ReplyDeleteI can't thank you enough for participating, AnnMarie! It is fun, isn't it? We didn't get a huge response, so it's probably a one-time thing, but I'll probably keep doing my own post...maybe you will, too!
DeleteLove these photos! Your photography has gotten so great! Love the in flight (or coming in for a landing) shot on 4/7. I too have wheels on my kitchen floor, but mine are attached to roller blades (got a photo before I shooed him out of the house). Also, I must warn you that we cannot be friends if you eat fro yo in front of me - it's what I miss most since losing dairy ;-) Thanks for sharing your wonderfully, busy month!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Beth! Glad to know I'm not the only one who takes pictures before reprimanding! Oops, sorry about the fro yo...I'll try not to eat it in front of you again, lol!
DeleteLove all your pictures! You got some great ones! Every time I try to do a photo challenge, I fail. :( And yet, I take so many pictures!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michelle! I did manage to get a few good ones...a few not so great ones, too, but, oh well! It was a fun thing to do.
DeleteI love this idea! Stopped by because of my friend Deb (above) and so glad I did! April 27th is my favorite -- we really will do/allow anything if we can use it on our blogs!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you did stop by, Gandma Kc! Maybe you'll give the diary a try! Isn't the picture of the skateboard a hoot?
DeleteI had fun doing this with you Amy! I wish my April had been less hectic, but it was still fun and I got pics most days! Your pictures are fantastic - I am dying over that statue of liberty shot but the bingo jackpot?? Is that for real?? That is crazy awesome! xo
ReplyDeleteHi Claire, well, we didn't knock em dead with this, but it was fun! I could not believe I got that Statue of Liberty shot - wasn't trying for it - it was kind of a surprise when I looked at my photos! Yeah, I really did win Bingo ! It was a wild thing!
DeleteApril was good to you. I like the Boston snow at the beginning and the blooming flowers at the end. Faberge is certainly improved with a picture of you on the egg, and the flowers in the sneakers are so whimsical. Yes, I remember the Kids in the Hall and am glad that I'm not the only one who crushes things. Last of all, that Statue of Liberty catching the Helicopter photo is absolutely fantastic. Can't wait to see what May holds.
ReplyDeleteIt was a crazy, busy, wonderful month! Ah, but they all aren't that exciting! May is back to the mundane, which is just fine. I'm sure I'll have lots of garden, bird and food photos for this month! Thanks for visiting!
