On the way to the periodontist for the final check of my recent gum surgery,
I happened upon the set for Access Hollywood Live in Rockefeller Center Plaza.
I couldn't stick around too long, since I had a lunch date with a friend,
but I did get to see Natalie Morales of the Today Show
sit down for a chat with Billy Bush and Kit Hoover.

Let me just say that Natalie Morales is STUN-NING in person...
her hair, that dress, those shoes...oh my!
(sorry it's a little blurry).
From Rockefeller Center, I was off to meet my friend at The Pennsy,
a hot, new, upscale food court just inside Penn Station,
(near the entrance to Madison Square Garden).

Don't look for Taco Bell or Subway in here.
This uber-cool space has culinary offerings from chefs like
Pat LaFrieda, Mario Batali, and Marc Forgione.

After lunch, I just had to stop at Macy's in Herald Square, which was just a block away.

It's probably been four years since I've been inside.

Finally, I walked up Broadway...

It was time to get the car and head back home.
So fun! I'll be walking those street in about 10 days and checking out some of your recommendations! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteNatalie does indeed look stunning! Love that dress :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like Manhattan has undergone some changes for the better. Good to know.
(Believe it or not, I'm STILL sick!).

I like the idea of an upscale food court. Usually there is nothing in those places I want to eat!!
ReplyDeleteI love tagging along on your trips to New York City! Sorry it is dental work that has taken you there and hope all is healing now, but thanks for reminding me how vibrant and fun this place is!
ReplyDeleteThat sure sounds like a fun day after your appointment Amy! I had no idea about the food court. I will be sure to check that out!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a nice weekend.

So fun, we went there winter, so the hosts were all inside. :-(
ReplyDeleteNatalie is beautiful, she has a look of the Kennedys here. I'd never noticed that before. What was just another day in the city for you is sure the stuff of fairy tales for someone like me who has never been to NYC. But what did you have for lunch? Tell, tell!
ReplyDeleteYou had a most wonderful day ...
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I always have such a nice time following your footsteps in NYC.
