Which summer pleasures
Do you most treasure?
I've got a slew
To share with you.
Scoring tickets to a hot Broadway play.
People-watching in Times Square, on a hot summer day.
Lunching on the Hudson River shore line.
Picking ripe tomatoes right off the vine.
Walking through Bryant Park before lunch.
Enjoying ice cream twist with corn flake crunch.
Feeling fountain spray on your face.
Looking up at the building called Grace.
Hand-feeding a squirrel? Uh-uh, not me!
Strolling through Central Park? Yes, please......Oui!
Taking cover from a summer shower.
Admiring Rockefeller Center's flower power.

Once again you have taken some amazing photos! I love that butterfly and hydrangeas are my favorite flower.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you think of Hamilton? Did it live up to the hype? Did you have to sell Jr. Gooshoes to buy the tics? lol
ReplyDeleteThe bridge looks imposing. Call me old fashioned, but I kind of like the look of the old one more. And I’ll NEVER refer to it as the Cuomo!

Really GREAT summer pictures, Amy. I hope you have a really wonderful August!!! LOVE that old bridge!!!xo Diana
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures of Central Park and your stroll through Bryant Park too. I wouldn't be feeding the squirrels either.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your August.
Cindy
My heart always skips a beat when I see one of your Month in Photos, comes up. And, you never disappoint. Gorgeous shots of your beautiful NYC! Thanks, Sandi
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed looking at the photos of the city. I still haven’t seen Hamilton and a show I would love to see. Thanks for sharing at C&C with J&J.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Sandi, above. For an armchair traveler such as myself, you're my favorite travel guide--well, you and Doreen! I think I might even enjoy my travels more this way, at my age, than if I were really there and footsore. And yes, ogling the summer blooms means more to me each year. So if you enjoy it now, Amy, think how much more you'll enjoy that when you're my age.
ReplyDeleteAs always, you are one fine photojournalist!

I love how you find the prettiest places in the city! It looks so inviting and could be a marketing post for I Love NY!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of NYC! Don't remember Rockefeller's Plaza being so lush in the summer!
ReplyDeleteYummy..
